Roofing Services in Marion, MT

We roof Marion because it is practically next door. Our shop sits outside Kila on Browns Meadow Road, and Marion is the next community west on US-2, about twenty-one miles out of Kalispell in the timbered country around Little Bitterroot Lake. Marion sits close to 4,000 feet, noticeably higher than the valley floor, and the snow up here reflects it. Roofs carry more load, carry it longer, and shed it harder in spring. We replace and repair shingle roofs on homes and cabins, and we install metal on the shops, barns, and outbuildings that most Marion properties have at least one of. Every estimate includes a drone survey, so you see the whole roof before we talk about what it needs.

Higher ground, heavier snow

The elevation difference between Marion and Kalispell is close to a thousand feet, and it changes the roofing math. Snow that comes and goes in the valley stays put here, so the load on rafters and the wear on shingles both run higher. Long-lived architectural shingles installed over a properly vented deck handle it, but underlayment and ice barrier details matter more than they do in town. On cabins around Little Bitterroot Lake and out toward McGregor Lake, we see a lot of older roofs installed light for the conditions. When we replace one, we build it for the snow it actually gets, and we will tell you plainly if the existing deck or framing needs attention before shingles go on.

Acreage properties and the buildings on them

Marion is acreage country. A typical property has the house, then a shop, a barn, maybe a hay shed or a well house, and those secondary buildings usually wear the oldest roofs on the place. We handle them all in one visit. Metal is often the right call for outbuildings: it sheds snow, tolerates neglect, and outlasts a screw-down shingle patch job by decades. We install standing seam and screw-down panel systems on shops and barns as a standard service line, not a side favor, so a Marion property owner can get the whole spread assessed and quoted at once instead of hiring twice.

Marion is on the same US-2 corridor as our shop, and the full service list on our Kalispell page applies here without the Kalispell drive time.

Roughly fifteen minutes west of our shop on US-2. Marion is the closest community to us in that direction.

What we do in Marion

Marion questions we actually get

Will you actually come out to Marion for a small roof repair?

Yes. We pass through Marion on US-2 regularly because our shop is just east near Kila. A blown-off ridge cap or a leak around a stove pipe is a normal call for us, not an errand we put off. Small repairs get the same drone documentation as full replacements.

Is metal or shingle better for a cabin near Little Bitterroot Lake?

It depends on pitch, trees, and how often you are there. Metal sheds Marion snow on its own and needs less attention, which suits a cabin you visit occasionally. Architectural shingles cost less up front and are easier to repair. We install both, so the recommendation follows the building, and we will show you the tradeoffs on your actual roof.

Can you reroof our shop and house at the same time?

That is the normal way to do it out here. One mobilization, one dumpster, one cleanup. We quote the buildings separately so you can phase the work if you want, but combining them is usually the efficient route.

Kalispell and Flathead Valley homeowners, in their own words.

Ben and his team provided excellent communication and service. They were in and out and a couple of days tearing off and replacing a steep roof. We will use them again for future roofing needs on our homes.

Kyle with Sisu Roofing was great! He was very responsive and even put a temporary patched on my roof for free! He was also upfront and honest about cost too. Would highly recommend working with Kyle and Sisu.
