What a full replacement includes

A Sisu replacement is a complete rebuild of the roof system, not shingles nailed over problems. We tear off to the deck, replace any soft or delaminated sheathing, and rebuild from there: ice and water shield at the eaves and valleys where Flathead ice dams do their damage, synthetic underlayment across the field, new drip edge, new flashing at every wall and penetration, and ridge ventilation sized to the attic. The shingles are the visible part. The layers underneath are what decide whether the roof survives twenty Montana winters or ten.

Why we install Malarkey shingles

We are a Malarkey Certified Installer, and that is a deliberate choice for this climate. Malarkey shingles are polymer-modified asphalt: their NEX polymer technology makes the shingle mat more flexible in deep cold and more resistant to hail impact than standard asphalt. Cold-weather flexibility matters here because brittle shingles crack during winter installs and under freeze-thaw cycling. Hail rating matters because valley storms do not care what you paid for your roof. Some roofing companies quote a replacement for every call. We do not, and the drone photos keep us honest. Timing a replacement around Montana weather

The Flathead gives roofers a real working season and we plan around it. Late spring through fall is ideal for tear-offs, and we schedule so your deck is never open when weather moves through. Cold-weather installs are possible, and Malarkey's polymer-modified mats seal better in cold than standard shingles, but if waiting six weeks gets your roof a better install, we will say so. If a storm has forced your hand, our storm damage repair crew can stabilize the roof first so the replacement happens on schedule instead of in a panic.
